ABOUT

BERNARD ALLIGAND IS AN ARTIST OF MATTER, LIGHT AND MOVEMENT.

His many trips are a source of inspiration that he uses in different media. Multidisciplinary, his pictorial work is imprinted with all kinds of materials: minerals, plants, manufactured objects, raw, recycled… which he translates into materialist, lyrical compositions.
A collection of his engraved work is set up at Dep. prints from the Bnf in Paris. The L. Nucéra media library in Nice also hosts all editions accompanied by sketches, plaques, essays; Conservation fund for the engraved work inaugurated in January 2019. Two catalogs of the engraved work cover the period 1985-2018.

The artist works on artist's books accompanying unpublished texts by many poets. An Alligand collection of his bibliophilic works was created in 2009 at the Angers library in which all the original editions (more than a hundred artist's books) are kept together with essays, letters, models and descriptions. .

It is present in institutional and private collections and exhibits on all continents.
